Our latest activities!

Here is Shane preaching his first sermon here in Korea, with a translator.

Gracie fell asleep on the subway on the way home from the sauna. We were all ready for bed!

Peyton has made friends with most everyone and tries to take turns with everyone equally. Here he is walking with Will, one of the new teachers here.

A big spider in it's web on the hiking trail at Sahmyook University.

The pond was full of very large Koi. They came to where we were in the hopes of getting some food.

This is the main building of the Sahmyook Campus.

These are the mountains behind the University.

This is part of our group that went on the Sabbath tour of the University.

This is a little Prayer Garden on the University Campus.

Well, I am finally done putting the photos on here!!! I don't know what my problem is, but I really seem to have some issues with getting everything formatted correctly on here. Oh well...

So this weekend, Shane preached his first sermon in Korea. We worked together as a team. I did the Powerpoint and he did the sermon. It turned out very nice.

After church they took us to Sahmyook University for a tour. It was a half hour bus ride away, and well worth it. The campus is beautiful. There was a really nice hiking trail that goes up to a very large pond. There were turtles and ducks and Koi (and mosquitoes). But it was very pretty.

Then, after Sabbath, we went to a "Sauna". It was more like a very large Spa. There were hot sauna rooms, cold rooms, charcoal rooms, salt rooms and much, much more. You can spend the whole day there if you want to. We were in awe of the whole thing. It was very upscale and very, very clean! Cleaner than the hospital by far! :) When we were coming in, a very nice Korean lady was helping us get through the language barrier. She helped me get the process figured out of what we were supposed to do. Only later did she let on that she was the owner of the place. Then she wanted to talk some more and she asked me if I had time for private lessons for her children. I told her that we wouldn't be living here, but that I was honored that she would ask me. She gave me her phone number anyway, and wanted me to consider it. I wouldn't do it, but it would be nice to have a friend. :) She pointed out that the name of the Sauna was Silloam and asked me if I knew the connection. She is a Christian. I hope to keep in contact with her in some way.

We got home way too late lastnight and the kids were exhausted. They took a nap early this morning, but that is good because we have things going on this evening.

Well, it has been a busy weekend! We will know by Monday night where we are going to be assigned, and we hope to get settle quickly.

We miss all of you!
